best flowing exhaust manifolds? ok so im just getting some information for a friend. and he was wondering which stock manifolds flow the best? he is putting an ls1 in a 57 chevy and would like to keep emissions just to be different.

The 01-02 LS1 manifolds flow the best... like shorties, but why the hell wouldnt he want some real rumble and power with longtubes and NO smog stuff?? I'm so confused, and actually sickened lol...

thanks for the information. the ls1 he is getting is an 01. he is an automotive teacher and teaches alot about emissions so just to be different he wants to have a clean 57 chevy i.e. manifolds and cats. but dont worry he himself has a badass 480hp 00 ss.
