Default SLP maf

Does anyone have SLP maf and removed the screen? Is it a bad idea?

I descreened the one on my car with no trouble. My husband has GMAF that came descreened. They are about the same as far as we can tell performance wise now.

I'd keep it on. It's there for a reason. Plus nobody can really feel a differnce or see a difference at the track. So, why bother?

just read somewhere that it makes the air flow over the sensors in the maf?
