First off, there is nothing wrong with the y pipe. Second why do you want the ls6 cam? That cam is good for like 15 hp over the ls1 and that is above 4500rpm. Boltons are what you do first, boltons are like the bottom of the pyramid, cam is more towards the top, you get what i'm saying?!?

I don't want the ypipe anymore because im going with true duals instead. Also I don't know much about the cam that is why I am asking.

changing your stock cam out for an LS6 cam would NOT be worth the effort that goes into a cam swap. if someone GAVE me an LS6 cam, i still wouldn't put it in my car. go big or go home. or at least go bigger than that!

Price will vary with shop and what all you swap out when you do a cam. But I would say you can expect around $900-1200
