Default BBK throttlebody...help?

just recently installed a BBK 80mm tb. I installed everything correctly and did the tb bypass. The idle stop is exactly the same from the factory, But it idles irradically and is getting worse. It idles at 2k now we checked for vacum leaks and what not and didnt find anything. The throttle linkage isnt getting hooked on anything. We pulled the IAC out and it was filthy. I put the stock tb back after i cleaned/polished it. Now it runs great, RPMs dont hang and it idles 800 which is perfect. Any ideas??? id love to use this TB.

The idle screw might be adjusted wrong.

it was adjusted how it was supposed to be from the factory. Im wondering why the IAC would act up all of a sudden with it. The car suddenly ran hot and smelled lean. Maybe ill try and idle it down with the screw. Any ideas on why the RPM is hanging though?

i would check the screw. it probably needs adjusting. i know i adjusted mine. also check the throttle body cable again and see if it isnt too loose or too tight. but main focus is on the screw. cuz mine was idling weird too, until i adjusted it.

He hit it on the money. My cable was a lil tight and the Idle screw was way outta wack.. Originaly thought I had a vacum leak, not the case. If u haven't checked both, I would.
