Default Flowmaster????

So tomorrow im finally going to have some pipes put on my '98 Z28 But the guy who is going to do it suggested a Flowmaster 80 series. I dont have enough money or experience to do a true-dual system, and the shop who is doing it has a great rep. So i was just wondering what everyone else thought of the flowmaster, and if i should suggest a diff brand. Thanks For Your Time!!!
Happy

the general thought on flowmaster is they sound great but flow bad....i dont have (and have never seen) a dyno sheet to prove that but thats what everyone else says...how much are you paying this shop to put them on?

I have heard the same, but have never seen any evidence either about every flowmaster except the 10 series race mufflers, which I have on my car. The sound on those is absolutely amazing with a true dual setup.

ditto on the hooker or even a magnaflow....hooker will be slightly quieter then the magnaflow but they both have great sounds and flow well

Jeez, it does seem a little high for my area at least. You can get a cat back for less than 400 bucks and put it on yourself very easily.
