How'd you manage that? I swapped mine a month ago or so and it seemed as if you'd have to TRY to break that thing.

I don't know how so many people break it either.

You just have to remember to lift up on the manifold then pull it out so it clears the sending unit.

I've broken a couple of them. Try to learn from your mistake, I can't seem to.

Why pull the intake again? Get a new sensor and socket from your local auto parts store.

The first time I removed my manifold it was very easy to break the thing. Actually it wasn't until I was putting the new manifold on that it actually broke. The 9 year old piece plastic was very brittle. Since I've replaced it, I have removed my intake numerous times and nothing has happened. It is actually really sturdy now that its new.

Yea it is old and brittle and then what I think is what breaks it is when people are pulling the intake off and the brake booster hose catches the sensor and blam.

There is a bright side.. I was swapping my LS6 intake a few years ago to a FAST 90 and somehow dropped a small nut ( grounding wire) into one of the heads...

I dont have to tell you what happened when i cranked the car..

Be thankful!!

Yeah dont feel too bad, i've done it too. Pulled it on and off 3 times ok and then the 4th time I got careless and I rushed it. I think I got my time down to about 40 min to pull it and put it back on (minus the time it took to replace a knock sensor).
