Default MTI clear lid clearance issue install **PICS**

there been a few people who have had clearance issues with the MTI Clear lids, heres a few pics on how to get rid of that clearance issues:

1. with these lids on some cars the MAF or bellows will sit on top of the intake base causing the lid to sit improper not being able to close the snaps

2. take a marker or something to mark a cut with and draw around where the MAF contacts the intake lid base.

3. take a dremel or cutting tool of your choice and cut out the square you marked out should look a little like this.

4. then go ahead and connect the MAF and the bellows and there should be able to see the clearance

5. go ahead and connect the lid to the MAF or bellows

6. lock the lid down should seal be sure to ensure the front of the lid is properly sealed

7. final product now go forth and be happy with your lid yall

As far as I know this should work on all lids

Any other input please add to.

go for sticky-worthy

Mine did the same thing when I went to put it on. But it wasnt near as bad as yours. So all I ended up doing was filing off a little bit off the lower air box piece and not it fits fine

mines super tight, but no cutting needed. I have the SLP bellow though, its angled. Maybe if you use the fernco, its required. Good right up, it should be a sticky.
