just got done putting my xs headers on today and everything went fine up till reinstalling of the factory plug wires.The #2 (passenger side front) wire rubber is up against the header tube.The wire started to melt on the header tube when I started the engine.HELP

Get some MSD wires with the boots that bend.

explain how these work.Do they come straight and you can bend the boot where you want it and it will stay there?

Yep, that's how they work... Here's a pic, #2 XS Primary and MSD wires.

Thanks for the pic, Chuckyt1. Has anyone ever used the Thermo-Tec heat shields? Is this a problem with all LTH's or just the XS headers?

You should be able to rotate the end of the spark plug wire that is attached to the coil, rotate it until the wire is off of the header.
