Default Hub seal

I am swapping in a new cam in my TA. I have a felpro gasket kit for the timing assembly and it comes with a new rubber hub seal. I was wondering since the old seal as a metal press in there if the new gasket is suppose to use the metal press or not. It seems as if the old rubber seal and the metal press are integrated with each other. Anyone have any suggestions or experiance with this.

Thanks.
