ported fast intake?

Exclamation ported fast intake?

my question, 90 mm intake was ported, and im trying to buy the intake, but the intake wasnt port matched to my heads, will the intake still work? i have stock heads

If the manifold was widened at the port exits and your running bonestock heads you may have as much as an eigth of an inch (or more) of a lip when you bolt it up disrupting some of the airflow. If the guy that ported the intake was very conservative at the entrance it may not be too bad but I have seen some ported intakes where guys go hog wild on the entrance....an area which doesn't add much to the total flow. I would measure the port outlets of the intake in question. Your stock ports are probably no wider than an inch and may be closer to .950 in width.

If the price is right and your getting ported heads later you may still want to take the plunge but I felt the point I was making above was something you needed to think about concerning the swap.

it was ported by lingenfelter, and since its online i cant measure, damm, and price is very right lol
