Default Stock MAF holding me back?

The search appears to be down. Mods are in the sig. I am still running a stock descreened and polished MAF sensor. I did not remove the metal dividers in the housing. Is this thing holding me back? Will it hold me back after I install the heads? I know a main issue I have is the stock LS6 intake bore/TB, but would a larger MAF gain me anything? I have only read bad things on the granettelli piece, but IIRC, the truck MAF is a good one to use??? Also, which lid will work with a larger MAF? Thank you

I think I've heard and read that the stock MAF is good for at least 500rwhp.
