Default looking for a quiet 4 inch muffler

a friend of mine is changing rom 3 inch duals to a single 4 inch exhaust. hes going to run it over axle and hes looking for a muffler that will fit where the stock one goes that's 4 inch diameter, single in/single out. show me what youve got or whats out there. he's got a H/C supercharged LT1 so hes tryin to quiet it down some.

I have contemplated this since true duals are beyond many peoples reach. The only 4" system I have heard of is the Mufflex 4 inch single out or dual out. My friend says that the system is too loud. Go to their site and they have some good vids of what their exhaust sounds like.

Mufflex uses a Spintech muffler for dual 3" out the back and they use a Flowmaster muffler for a single 4" out the back in the catback setup so there are two muffler sites you can go directly to for a start. Both have a 4" pipe inlet.

I have had 2 4" setups. One had the Flowmaster and the Spintech and the other had the Magnaflow. Magnaflow was definitely the best out of all of them. Less rasp, and was more of a sleeper setup.

Spintech is about the loudest of the 3.
