So why isn't Spintech more popular?
There was a thread a while back dealing with this same issue, thought it deserved some more attention. So here's my follow up:
I've heard very good things from Spintech, especially being arguably one of the best sounding mufflers. Those who have them seem to love them (and that's a few from what i can tell, which doesn't make much sense). Sure they may not flow as well as Hooker or Borla, but they still beat Flowmaster Crossflows and those seem to be more popular than the Spintechs even. ST seems to be pretty underground. So, what gives? This is out of pure curiosity.

I've been thinking about changing my FM on my truck to a Spintech. From what I've seen, I don't think the mufflers are altogether that expensive, but I'll probably install the muffler myself so total cost is not that high in my case.

theyre not more popular because they are overpriced, heavy *** flowmasters basically. If they flow better then Flowmaster single chambers, it aint by much. have you ever looked inside a spintech? Theyre square as hell, and tough to fit under our cars. These are the Pro Streets i am talking about, the most popular ones. They're loud as ****, and in my opinion, their sound isnt that great. Way too unrefined for my tastes..
I got rid of my brand new spintech dual setup after 250 miles, lol
If weight, room, flow, and price arent issues, and you like the sound, then go for them
ps- spintech dual setup for sale! lol

I have heard them on a 00 ta almost stock. Sounded ok but nothing special. I heard them on a 98 supercharged mustang dumped and they were the most hideous sounding muffler i have ever heard.

It's a great sounding muffler IMO. I never looked into buying one though so I am not sure how expensive they actually are. I also heard that you can get them custom made with less baffles, not sure if that's true or not. I would imagine that would allow it to flow more and make it louder.
I just got my car back from Mufflex and used a Magnaflow Race Series muffler. I didn't go with Spintech because I just like the sound of Magnaflow better. Also, 2 of my friends had Spintech's on their LS1, I had to be different.

You're better off google video searching spintech.
