Default Attaching Y pipe to I pipe

I was wondering how other people have done this with the install of LT headers? I found that my SLP I pipe and Kooks Y pipe are the same diameter. I was thinking of having an exhaust shop expand the I pipe to fit over the Y pipe.

Slip fit connector. At least that's how the FLP's were designed to work.

By that do you mean just enlarge the I pipe to slip fit over the Y pipe?
