Ported TB now Smoke from Manifold
First let me say the quality of work from Tim at Performance Throttle Bodies is amazing!
I just installed it and it fixed an idle problem I have had for 7 years from a port that was done wrong! I started it and it dropped to 800RPM cold and stayed there which is much different than the 900-1300RPM I am used to.
Now that one issue is fixed it appears this may have uncovered another. The passenger side exhaust manifold is leaking smoke. Even at idle before the engine even warmed up. If I rev it a little it blows more smoke. It appears to be coming from between the steel plate and the exhaust iron manifold.
Does this sound like a PCV or some sort of ventilation problem to you? I just changed the PCV valve not long ago not sure if that is related. Any help would be appreciated. I can't win.

That looks like the AIR plumbing and a heat shield, neither of
which ought to smoke. Is there smoke out the back as well?
If the PCV valve is not properly metering flow you could see
increased oil uptake. Ditto if the two hoses were swapped
somehow.
Could have caught some oil from a change or from the work,
down in the metal. If it doesn't bake out and quit in a few
days then you probably want to check out the PCV hoses
and valve.

Well I did an oil change and changed the PCV last weekend… I just put the old PCV valve back for good measure and checked the oil… it looks like it is 1 quart over somehow. I am an idiot. Fortunately I haven’t driven the car. Would too much oil make it smoke like that? I feel like such an amateur. Guess I could have spilled some on the manifold too seeing how my brain was not working that day. But that is a good point too about the oil coming out of a line from the manifold. Thanks everyone. I am going to put the car up and drain a quart and let it run for a while to see if it will burn the oil off. If that works then I am going to find a good mechanic becuase obviously I don't have a clue!
