Over 2 years in development ---> New Fast Toys 85mm Air Lid!!!! After more than 2 years of development time, Fast Toys is pleased to announce that we have a brand new 98-02 LS1 Camaro/Firebird airlid available to work with 85mm MAF's in the next few days! No longer will you be stuck with restrictive stock sized air lids and MAF's.
This new air lid is designed to work with an 85mm MAF for maximum airflow and performance. The MAF will push directly into the air lid outlid so no adapters are required. The lid features our exclusive "Power Bulge" design to increase the air lid volume substantially and provide a smooth air flow transition flow from the horizontal air filter to the MAF sensor. Provisions for the stock IAT sensor are provided. This lid installs on the stock factory lower air filter base. The only color available is black. You cannot use this lid with the stock sized MAF unless you come up with your own coupler/reducer.
The lid will work on everything from stock to highly modified motors. Best results will be on the modified cars that require more airflow than the stock lid and MAF combo can provide.
The lid also works fantastic with the Fast Toys Ram Air Kit (FTRA)!
00-02 cars will still be required to use a breather filter for the smog pump (not provided with the lid at this time).
This was a very long and painstaking process but we are glad they are finally done. that looks bad ***!!!
i'd like to see dyno numbers also. for the 00-02 if you have the EGR and AIR deleted out, should it even matter at that point?

Finally, SOMEONE made an 85mm lid. You guys are gonna get a lot of sales since A LOT of people have asked for this and you're the only retailers

Just curious but the LG is 88.9mm on the inner diameter of the 'neck' part. Wouldn't going to a 85mm lid be smaller? http://www.lgmotorsports.com/catalog...oducts_id=1521
I have one and measured it. Website also says 3.5" which is 88.9mm... maybe I am just missing something though.
Correct me on this if I am wrong though pls.
In any case, the lid does look quite nice. If I didn't have a lid already, it'd be the one I want. Many comparison dynos vs other lids would be sweet too.

A stock sized MAF has an OD of 88mm and in ID of 74mm.
That makes the ID of our lid about 9-10mm bigger than other aftermarket lids. Since area is pie R squared, the are of the exit on our new lid is about 20 % larger that what is currently availble from other manufacturers
On top of that, we have significantly increased the overall volume of the air lid compared to everyone else.
Both of these factors allow the lid to flow significantly more air to feed the motor!

There really is no way to do a direct dyno comparison to any other lid since there are no other lids on the market that work with an 85mm MAF. Our lid has significantly larger volume and outlet area so it is going to work really well on modified motors that need more airflow.
We did some dyno runs on a full bolt on, cammed car with a make shift coupler to a stock MAF and saw power gains from 4000-6400 RPM over an aftermarket lid.
It wouldn't be valid to dyno an 85mm MAF with tuning and our new lid against a Stock MAF and smaller lid.

Thanks for the response, I think I fully understand the '85mm' thing now. I can see the improvement from 88.9mm to your 98mm. 
Thanks again for taking the time to spell out all those details.
As for dynos, why not just show the difference on a stock motor just to prove that 98mm really does add more hp.
