WILL I LOSE WARRANTY?

Re: WILL I LOSE WARRANTY?
the least you will more than likely loose your exhaust warranty, ( no big deal) then most dealers will also blame any motor, trans, and rear-end related issues on them as well which leaves you,
what AC, interior stuff.....
I would ask your local dealer service manager( not sales) and if you don't have that kind of relationship with he, then do what I am......

Re: WILL I LOSE WARRANTY?
Some dealer are more friendly than others.I suggest calling your dealers service manager and asking.I had my tranny replaced under warranty, car had full on drag racing setup ET streets. They said we'll do it this time because there is a TSB on the tranny, but your on your own after this.

A dealer cannot arbitrarily put a block on a warranty. He must first make a request to the zone manager and then GM will do the block. RACING is something you definitely have to watch out for!!!
Here are two actual cases, my own and a friend's:
My car is recammed, pcm reprogrammed, ported throttle body, reprogrammed pcm, air conditioning removed, battery relocated, an AccuSump engine oiler installed, remote oil filter, home made open element KN air filter, Grots, no cats, true duals, regeared, Baer brakes, aftermarket springs, shocks, sway bars, and panhard. My service writer obviously could see these things, and he KNEW that I was running the car on the roadcourse. Yet, I was never refused warranty service for repair work to unrelated items. Bottom line is my guy was friendly.
Now for my friend and his dealer. His car had only SLP headers and Loudmouth. Last year, a wheel cracked while he was on track at Watkins Glen. He shouldn't have, but he did, tell the service writer where it happened. Result, he had his warranty blocked, not because of modifications, but for RACING. His guy was not so friendly.
You should definitely have a discussion with your dealer before making decisions.

I thought if the headers were emissions legal like some of the blowers , then they have to honor their warranty . I would lay a C-note in the service managers hand , if the headers were already installed & you had a warranty claim.
