Default FAST intake on a 00 SS?

Heres the deal. A buddy wants me to help him switch a intake on his 00' SS. The car is like 100% stock with the factory LS1 intake. To put a FAST intake on this car what all do we need to do? I'm not a total green horn on LS1 cars, but some of the small details I'm still in the dark.

I know the coolant cross over tube is going to have to be changed to the 01' up style right? What about the big tube that runs over top of the intake? Is that part of the air injection system or EGR?

Any input would be appreciated.

I am not sure about the coolant lines for the FAST.When I installed my LS6 intake I just bought (2) cross over tubes;one for the front, one for the back and ran a hose (3/8 ID) back to the front of the motor then I installed a T junction in the coolant line. As for as the big tube running across the intake that is for the fuel. You will need a special tool to loosen the clip. **Note my car is a 1998** a 2000 maybe different.

you also have to bypass the coolant line for throttle body.

Ok, then if the tube is for the fuel, then would I have to have 01' up fuel rails or are they the same?
