hey man i just did mine today, i used a crossover on the front tube and two plugs for the back, make sure when u take the old intake off to take the tape off the knock sensor wires and remove the green clips, they won't fit under the new intake, and watch out for the oil sending unit!!!..I broke mine and it cost me 40 bucks! It does take awile since if its ur first time but its all about the learning experience

I'm in the same boat as you. I decided to spend the money and buy the LS6 pipes and the block offs. There is another option which is grinding off the ribs of the LS6 intake and using the LS1 coolant pipes, but I'd feel more comfortable using the pipes that were intended for the LS6 intake. And if I ever sell the LS6 then it will still be in good shape and not all hacked up.

You can just grind the ribs down on the bottom of the ls6 to make the coolant pipe fit

Third option is to cut your LS1 pipes and braze them closed. I had lost my front LS6 pipe and did this with no problems.

When pulling your LS1 intake, reach your hand back to the brake hose and be sure you lift the intake over the oil pressure sensor unless you really want to try to find another while your car is apart.

I took a wire sander and sanded down the ribs on my ls6 intake and then took a flat hammer and a peice of wood and hammered down the parts of the coolant pipe that held the intake a up a bit my ls6 intake now sits real snug! Now the hammering part no I didn't kill the pipe I just made it more oval rather then circular. Works great
