Default Edelbrock Victor Series Stepped Headers Or Jet Hot coated Pacesetter Headers

I have been trying to decide on which one of these 2 headers to get. I can get the edelbrocks for about $100 cheaper than the pacesetters. Would it be worth it to get the pacesetters with the jet hot coatings? Would there be any performance difference? This car also sees a lot of weather so i don't want the coating coming off in 6 months? any suggestions?

My coating came off on my jet hots in no time ...It sucks ...Just save some money and get some stainless steel headers and never have to worry about them again

the eldebrock headers are better so buy them if you can get them for a lower price. The stepped header design will help a bit on the low end for TQ

I said that i found the edelbrocks cheaper than the JET HOT coated pacesetters. Not just the ceramic coated pacesetters. The edelbrocks you can get for like $419 and matching y pipe is 105. You can find them at jegs.

Edelbrock >> Pacesetter

Edelbrock has a very well designed header and will make significant power over Pacesetters. If you've ever seen what Edelbrocks look like next to Pacesetters, you'd laugh because the Pacesetters look like a little toy. Made in the USA is always better than Made in Mexico

r the ones that are $419 stainless? it doesnt say on jegs, the others say mild steel coated or stainless. so are the 419 ones just painted mild steel headers, cuz they are cheaper than the coated ones on that page. if so i say pacsetter with the jet hot coating! id like to know cuz i will be buying headers soon as well.

How did the installation go? Were there any problems with the drivers side rubbing anywhere?

the $419 Brocks (part#65703) are ti-tech coated. and is a complete 'kit' that comes with everything but will need some drilling and welding for O2 bungs and collector tabs
very nice header for the $!
no comparison to the pacesetters, even with jet-hots coating.

Ceramic coated is the same as Jet Hot coated. They're both gonna rust. Don't know much about Edelbrocks Ti Tech coating but prolly nothing more than ceramic or Jet Hot coating. May be just their own paint, kinda like the coating Mac used. Either way if it's gonna see alot of weather I'd save for some stainless ones.

I used to have a set of Jet-Hot coated Kook's headers on my pervious '99 TA...honestly, they looked pretty crappy after only 1 1/2 years of having them and the car was NOT a daily driver at the time. The coating had chipped away and peeled down near the collectors and the headers themselves started to rust badly.

I learned quite a damn bit after having that car for over 5 years...now if I'm going to do it, I'm only doing it once and doing it right the first time.
With that being said, my current '02 WS6 has stainless American Racing Headers and I wouldn't think of running anything else. They fit a TON better than what I previously had and really cannot be beat.
No burning O2 & Cam position sensor wires on my car!

Save up some more and buy something higher end, you'll thank yourself in the long run. Believe me, cut corners does not pay off.

I sold my Pacesetters (Jet Hot Coated) and got a set of the Edelbrocks, overall I'm happy with the purchase...like the stepped design, like the merge collector, and they fit just fine.
