Default Percy's Header Gasket & ARP Studs

I've jst had a new set of Kooks headers installed, we used the Percy's Seal-4-Good (#66032) gaskets along with ARP Headers Studs (#434-1301).

For startes the gaskets are thicker than we expected, I assume they compress, a lot, as the studs are tightened up. Many passes and we still seems to get more compression out of them.

The drivers side semms to be running leak free, but not the passangers side.
I've only driven 75 miles on them so far, and I realize after a few heat cycles its normal to have to re-torque them down...but my mechanic isnt liking the setup!

Any thoughts?
