I have had the !FRA for several months and I have had no problems with getting water in my filter. Just be wary of large puddles as you don't want to chance hydro-locking your engine. Actually, I had problems with removing the baffles from the ram air ducts on my TA rather than any problems with the !FRA...not having any baffles caused water to get all in my engine bay making it look like crap. Hope this helps... - Pat

I'm using the SLP CAI with !FRA, works great, no problems, I just change the filter often or at least blow it off with compressed air.

I read a thread about ten months ago on a sealed air-box mod that forced air in through two 4 inch flexible pipes (Home Depo - home heating ducts)..

the pictures were great and the box was sealed not like the factory box....not even noticable from the outside of the car..

the result was a BIG decrease in 1/4 mile times....so it really worked.

I have an SLP cold air that is OK but this set up was heavy duty...
