Anyone dealt with Jet Hot on their warranty?

Anyone dealt with Jet Hot on their warranty? Hey guys-
I've been reading here that Jet Hot has a 3 year warranty against general defects and then a lifetime warranty against rust..
I just called JetHot and was told that the 3 year is against surface rust and the lifetime is for complete rust through..
Has anyone had their headers recoated with surface rust only, for free?
Any help would be appreciated..
