Default Whats dealer price on a full 00 trans am catback system? (insurance reasons)

Buddy smashed his car and needs a new catback. Anyone have an idea what a new catback would cost from a dealer? (from catalytic converter all the way back) His car was repaired after an accident but the catback is still screwed and is gonna get a check from the insurance for the catback. (needs car back and thats all thats not repaired) Anyone work at a dealer or have any idea what these parts would cost?

Any help is appreciated.

why would you want going through the dealer for a catback??? get an aftermarket exhaust setup and save cash. Whatever left over buy inexpensive mods (i.e. springs, pulley, lt's) This is what I would do

Well thats the plan, but trying to figure out how big of a check to expect for the factory pieces. gmpartsdirect is down so i found a couple other sites and i see the intermediate pipe for between 240-and 280 and the muffler is get this, 440-485 bucks! Of course we want a check to replace the factory parts on there, but if he choses to buy cheaper parts and save the extra $, well thats his option.

Tell him that he needs to call his local dealer and talk to someone in the parts department. They will give him prices and part numbers if he asks them.
