Du pont or PPG ect. base/clear works best. It bonds better than any laquer based rattle can junk and the high build clear fills the textured surface for a smooth glossy/smooth finish that wont die back or dull over time. Brake fluid, gasoline ect. will also not harm it like the rattle can.

Its also resist heat better than the high temp junk everyone waist there money on and works great on engines and brake calipers.

I painted the engine in my wifes 69 Camaro over four years ago with Du pont base/clear and it still looks like it was painted yesterday.

If you cant do it yourself any body shop will do it for you. If you shop around you might be surprised at the price also.

Cliff notes of the sticky:

1. Sand the intake with 400 grit paper
2. clean the intake and let it dry
3. spray with a plastic bonding agent (Duplicolor Adhesion promoter)
4. spray with high temp paint (VHT or Krylon engine paint)

Did mine last year and it turned out pretty damn good!

Do not use Krylon Fusion Superbond Paint for Plastic - it will not bond to the FAST.
