Default exhaust question

i have an 01 ss with heddman lond tube hedders. i recently installed a new y pipe and a bullet muffler and 3 in dump..no cats...when i start the car i am hearing a loud rattling sound come from the passanger side hedder. when i put pressure on the hedder it stops rattling..the y pipe is tightened and the welds are good..could it be a loose hedder bolt.please help...!

lotsa fols w/ lth n y pipe setups have problems w/ the y pipe hitting the floor

check your clearence there 1st

i have alot of ground clearance..just sounds like something is loose

What kind of clamps are you using on your y-pipe?

.. Honestly, I would just bring your car to your local exhaust shop and have them look at it.. Most places like midas will look at it for free.

i wasnt refering to glround clearance, im refering to the clearance b/w the y pipe and the floorboard o fthe car, if its a real tight fit id bet thats your noise maker!

if the clearance there is fine and it sounds to me the noise came after all this was installed id check the muffler, mabey a broken baffel inthere. had an ol set of flowmasters on one of my 3rd gens do that, that thing rattled its *** off and was annoying as hell

theres good clearance between the y pipe and floor board and the muffler is new as well..

i might just take off the y pipe and muffler and see how it sounds
