Motor won't fire, any ideas?
I just got my motor back in my 98 Z28, went from a stock motor with spun rod bearings to a Comp 228/230 cam, comp valvetrain, comp lifters, comp pushrods, pacesetter LTs, and 02 heads. Everything is connected but the A/C and an emissions plug we can't find a connector for, passenger side, near the back of the head, and the motor will turn but not crank. I haven't checked for spark yet because we just got it rotating yesterday and the trans cooler lines weren't on, so we spent today putting them on. I will check for spark tomorrow, and does anyone know how I check to see if the injectors are squirting? Thanks-Jon

You can get what is called a noid light and put it on each injector. It will light up as the injector pulses. If you took the motor out, I'd say check those grounds on the back of the head and make sure they are not broken. As for fuel, push in the valve stem once your key is in the on position. If you have fuel pressure then it will squirt out. Make sure you have fire and then report back.

runs surprisingly smooth for an untuned car but still a bit rough once the idle settles down, I'll be getting a tune soon.
Can you tell I was quite excited?
