I definitely would have gone ahead and done the shaft mod while you had it apart! Looks shiny.

i was going to grind it but I know that if you overdo it TP will go over 100% and then the pcm will set the MIL light and go to default throttle position, knowing me ill mess it up

these are before and after looks more smooth and the ridges on it were all ported out and the iac was epoxied to make the airflow just as straight.. the shaft mod allows the blade to open all the way see how mine has a little to open to be straight thru,

its def shiny, looks like you couldve done a lot more porting (knife edge, and shaft mod, and in general) and a little less polishing. i would go back and at least do the shaft mod if you dont feel comfortable doing the knife edge

Great job polishing... But for sure do the bump stop and the shaft mod. You can also grind down the shaft on the other side. It helps out a lot. I am going to throw my car on a dyno here in a lil and find out how much hp and tq i get at the rear wheels from porting a polishing the tb. It was the last thing on my intake i had yet to mod....lid, filter, ported maf, lsp bellows, ls6 manifold....

Agreed , do the bump stop for sure! I did mine. The scanner read 4.32 volts to start I took it to 4.59 volts conservatively. I removed .100" of material of the bump stop! The shaft I didn't do. What did u use to polish it? I looks nice.

Polishing looks good, there is a ton more material to remove from it though. You did remove the biggest restriction which is the .120 ridge before the blade. Stock tbs neck down to 71mm and a true ported one is 75mm. They cant be taken any larger than that without going through the housing.

Definitely do the bump stop mod as the tb right now is only opening about 85%. After thats done it will open a ture 90 degrees or 100%. Cut the top half of the shaft of as well. And you might want to make the hole for the iac a little bigger 3/8" would be good, the vaccum is ok but the iac counts might change slightly. Tim

Agreed, hey Tim I sold my Ls6 intake to the guy who posted just before you SchultzLt1 and he cut his finger on the Tb blade when he took it off to paint the intake!

Looks great man. If you can push the blade through the throttle body like where the inlet would be then there is no use in porting any more. Doesn't matter how big you go because the middle of the throttle body where the blade sets is only so big. Like I said though if the blade will go all the way through anymore is a waste of time.

man i know it makes you feel good and all, but the most part of the power doesnt come from smoothing the inlet side its actually comming from the top side of the shaft being removed and a little from the bumpstop mod. in which both you didnt do. i had three throttle bodys to test and did different combos to each and seat of the pants feeling, i didnt feel anything just porting(smoothing) and polishing. but needless to say you did a great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
