Default Ported intake too much for stock heads?

should i port the ls6 intake that im buying? when i called the shop where im getting in ported they told me that porting the intake would be too much for my stock heads, all im wanting is 350-400 rwhp. but im starting the mods with a ls6 intake cause i still have the ls1 (boo!) intake. after that i plan on putting headers, cam, valve springs, titanium retainers, and new push rods. i just want to make sure a ported intake isnt too much for my stock heads

You won't have a problem getting 400 rwhp out of the stock ls6 intake
