ASR and SES lights on after LS6 intake swap
Nevermind...
I am an idiot...
I was so consumed with not breaking the brand new oil pressure switch, that I never plugged in the MAP sensor...

Sweet price.
I took 5-10 minutes with a small air powered angle grinder with a 3" GREEN coarse "Roloc" disc, and simply (and smoothly) ground off ALL of the intake's underside webbing (instead of taking chunks and gouges out of it with a dremel). Then tapped down the metal coolant lines slightly with a small hammer, and had zero fitment issues.
I had read all the slightly different ways to re-use the stock coolant lines, modifying them by cutting and brazing, and even using the $50 "LS6 coolant line kit" (which is a ripoff IMO), and decided to do it the easiest/cheapest way possible. It took me all of 20 minutes total to fit the intake flat to the heads.
Good Luck. As we've read/heard, it's a worthwhile mod for sure.

Good to see you guys felt the difference between the LS1 and LS6 intake. Can't wait to drop one onto my car in the near future, and see how much it helps my MS3.

this thread makes me want to go buy a ls6 intake lol. rel3rd if the oil pressure switch is broken, how would the car act? I ask because I too took off the air hoses when doing my header install and was kind of rough when I pulled them.

Mine didn't seem to "act" any differently...except that the oil pressure readings seemed to react slightly slower before the new switch...That may be solely because the car has over 100K miles on it though, ya know?
I pretty much did the same thing you said...kinda just yanked the hose during header swap because it seemed to be stuck on something, lol...

You should be able to barely feel it without taking anything off or out of the way.
Feel around just behind the driver's side rear corner of the intake. The plug/harness for it plugs straight into the top, so it shouldn't be anywhere but up top....unless it's broken and leaning over like mine was.

anyone ahve a pic of the oil pressure switch or can someone show a photo of where it is. I will try to find it tommorow based on the description above...
On a second note at which process during the intake swap should I try to unplug it?
How long are your ls6 intake swaps taking?

No reason to unplug the OP switch. I only unplugged mine to replace it.
I believe what breaks them is either yanking on the AIR pump hoses to remove them, or yanking on the intake and it (the OP switch) getting grabbed by the power brake booster hose.
I read through this link right before starting and it was helpful:

as for time frame...Took me maybe 2 hours total for R&R, and that was taking my time and trying to be careful. I did already have the underside of the intake smoothed down for use with the stock coolant tubing though. I prepped it at work so I didn't kill my POS HUSKY air compressor with all the grinding, lol...
