Will putting LS6 heads on yield any good gains?

Stock 243 (LS6 Heads) on the cars I have done pick up 15 to 20 rwhp but it wont hurt if you touch up on the tune they dont like as much timing but it wont hurt the car to run it I did for a while on a couple of cars I have bought and fixed up and sold. It will depend on the set up in the car also. Its a really nice upgrade I think. Good Luck

20rwhp would be about right if you are just bolting them on. For the work of doing a head swap you could pick up some cnc ported ones for $500 more and maybe pick up 40 to 50 rwhp.

gotcha, just saw a nice deal on some so I thought I would ask about it. Don't know TOO much about heads yet. Just getting into the h/c/i parts of the LS1 now.

The 243's flow better and will up the compression ratio. With a tune you'll get about 20~30 RWHP.
