Question Really puzzled and dont know what to do...

i made a thread a few days ago a little after i had all these mods listed below in my sig put on my car about my car idling high. some people said to put some miles on it and it would re-learn everything and nothing so far. a shop told me that the ported and polished MAF is probably the problem. but other ppl say that if i get a tune it will fix my high idle. so i thought i would ask you techies, get a tune or put on a stock MAF?

a lot of people will say stick with stock MAF, however a tune should be able to fix it.

well the shop told me that since it was unscreened and ported that its letting in a lot more air than its suppose to...i think thats what they were trying to say but i dont want to spend my money on another MAF if all i need is a tune, or visa versa.

I would think a tuner, given time, should be able to make it work out. But stock MAF's have been used in 450hp applications. So many would say its not worth the trouble it causes.

Since you already spent the money, I'd find a really good tuner and see if they can get it running right, which they should be able to do.

+1 for a tune, those are alot of mods that definately need tuning. Especially the intake.

I agree, you need a tune anyways so just try that. If it doesn't work, many people would pay you to trade your MAF for their stocker
