Default Slp cold air hitting hood

hey I installed a flopac - the full cold air package with lid and bellow from slp in august and found that it touches the hood when closed........ does anyone else have this problem???

it might possibly be because I have a new lid - it was on back order for a week so maybe it was made wrong... different supplier????? fitting it up elsewhere was cake.....

anyone else with this problem??

On my T/A NON ram air, I have the same kit but the LOWER/Shorter intake box, no issue, On a friend's WS6, same kit, no issues.

On my Best bud's and his brother's 02 Z28's they both rub at the top. It seems it something that has to do with the hood.

I have one on my 02 SS and it also rubs the hood slightly. I've just lived with it.

All SS cars seem to have a problem with the air lid rubbing on the hood.

On my SS, I actually had a problem with a TSP lid rubbing on my hood (it was their 85mm piece). I actually found that the bellows just below the lid neck was rubbing on the plastic shroud that sits on top of the radiator, so I made a small cut in that piece of plastic under the bellows and the lid finally sat down far enough.

It might not be the best solution, but it worked for me. It is at least something to check.
