Default got my TD's

well i finally got my 3'' H-pipe with flowmaster single chambers, still running stock manifolds and cats though. to me, it sounds amazing lol, since its dumped, from 2000-2500rpm it hits a very low, deep tone thats pretty loud inside the car, but not bad, and i like it. well anyways, i'm planning on getting some long tubes and when i put them in, i'm taking the cats out as well. how much different is it going to sound? will it still have a really deep sound, or will it be more high pitched? i know it will be verynoticable at WOT, but what about just cruising around? thanks

Your using the stock cats? It will be much louder w/o cats and with headers! I hope that it's not your daily driver. I just got done w/ a true dual setup with high flow cats and I can't emagine how loud it would be w/o cats.

pulling out the cats will create more rasp at wot....and probably more drone at highway speeds.

yea, it's my daily driver, i'm considering running a set of high-flow cats when i get my headers. and possibly running them over the axle and out the back depending on cost. and i'll definately get some sound clips posted if i can find a high quality camara that will do it justice

with my cam and mods the 3" true duals with X pipe and 1chambers dumped at the rear is really loud and bassy. I like it but you cant really talk to the person next to you until 6th gear. Sounds like a mean ferrari with the windows up, ls1's are weird sounding lol

the car will be a little louder.i run LT with true duals and i drive mine everyday but it gets annoying if u have them dumped so u may want to get them ran out the back to keep the inside of the car from shaking and making noise.

i think what i'll do is get the long tubes and take the cats out and ride with it like that for a while. and if it's too loud, i'll just run it the rest of the way out the back. thanks for all the replies
