Default Long Tube Headers

What does everyone recommend for a set of long tube headers for the best performance and sound?? seems like pacesetters are pretty common but i was wondering if any other LT's are as well liked. also what mufflers would you all recommend? im gonna run LT's with true duals. thanks for the input

Do a search, but the "bang for buck" headers are normally pacesetters coated.
If you want a stainless header you'll be paying more.

For mufflers go to ls1sounds and see what you like really depends on what you want.

All of the headers sound pretty much the same. I have Flowmaster 1 chamber on my true duals and LOVE them.

I just put American Racing Headers LT's on 00 SS and I love them.
They sound great and I got a nice HP boost with them. Just my $0.02

All sound the same, go stainless if you can afford it.

WOW; the deal on those Dynatechs sounds pretty good. I'd consider those for clearance, power, and stainless construction.

I think LTs are going to sound pretty much the same. You'll want to research catbacks, mufflers, and or TDs.

My votes goes with QTP's hands down. Mine look great, fit great, perform great and sound great. They have some of the biggest, if not THE biggest horsepower gains in the industry thanks to their merge collectors, equal length primaries and extra-long primaries. They're stainless steel too, and you get all this at $200 less than ARH and Kooks headers. Can't beat that deal.

MPH has them on sale PLUS free shipping, and you can PM FastToys for a price quote, also, since they have them on sale, too. You have some flexibility here.

If you need pics or sound clips, just let me know.

Best header brand on the market.
My 2nd pick would be QTP's.

Those are fine if you want a lesser grade of stainless and pay twice as much

I've got coated Pacesetters and love 'em. If I could go back in time I'd just get the painted ones and use some BBQ paint (I think that's what it's called) to save some money. I don't even drive my car in the rain so I wasn't going to spend twice as much for something I didn't need. Plus you say you're going with true duals...TSP has a nice dual system made to mate up specifically with Pacesetters. If money was no object I'd choose Kooks btw.
