Nope. Not a lick. I just did it because it sounded like a good idea. Why? Don't know but I didn't expect anything from it. The theory is good, but it won't show any real gains. If you experience any real freezes for long periods in TN, you may want to leave it be.

Another benefit to doing this mod is tghat any future project that requires you to remove the throttle body will be alot easier, since you won't have to remove the coolant lines.

I did it for that reason, plus a cooler throttle body can't hurt, ya know?

I did this mod recently. There is was no noticible gain for me, but the theory is good, and it can't hurt. If you somehow manage to freeze it, you can go back to stock. He was right in that taking your throttle body off will be A LOT easier. Those hoses can be a pain.

BEWARE of kits that include an adapter and if you're lucky a couple of clamps. These kits arn't worth the money, just by the adapter from jegs for a couple of bucks. You will need extra hose for this job. If you try to connect the existing hoses, they will sit dangerously close to your belt assembly. This mod won't help you much if your harmonic balancer eats through your hose and spills all your coolant.

I like this mod, but it's not magic, and it's not as easy as an ebay kit.

TB still gets hot irregardless.

If you ice down the intake and TB at the track doing this mod will help keep the TB cool for your runs. Thats about it.

As far as doing all the free mods. YOU WILL feel a difference. I did them all at once and couldn't believe difference.

-5 points for bringing back a thread that's more than two years old to ask a question that a quick search would reveal the answer to.

Its not irreversable mod, you can put back the coolant lines when it gets cold.
