Default Msd coil install failure..

After Coil Install car only hits on driver side cylinders ... What did i do... Feel like a retard .. This is a simple plug and play install........ Anyone encounter this problem?????

98 ls1 trans am

Car ran perfect before install...

I hate to say it, but you wasted your money on those... Just paint the stockers..... More reliable. Plus they really dont give you any HP. I would pull them off, and get your money back.

ok thats nicee to know but, my passenger side coils do not fire... msd or stock .. What controls each side??? driver side works fine...

Could be simple....

Did you remember to plug up the big white harness going to that side? After a header install, I forgot to plug it up one time..

Check your INJ-1 and INJ-2 fuses, maybe you shorted the batt+ wire on the harness during the installation.

And next time disconnect your battery whenever working on the electrical system.

might be the ground, check rear of the head. Are you getting any codes 0351-0357 i think. check weather pack connector for bent pins. Be sure you didnt reverse the coil harness. they only go on one way. youll know this if the runs like its 180 out, back fires etc.

thanks guys ... car just sounds like its cammed to death.. but idles... seems like only the driverside is fireing.. ill check all of those and thanks,... any more sussgestions are appreciated.

Very good thing to remember to disconnect the battery, May very well save your butt...

Issue was in one of the coils causing the inj 2 fuse to blow replaced coil problem fixed...

Cant really see much difference in power, feels a lil different... but does have quicker throttle response...
