Default Dampner/Pulley Installation...?

How far should I push it onto the crank? So its flush with the surface of the dampner hub? Or let it stick out a bit?I've installed it with a short piece of threaded rod, nut and washers(instead of a dampner bolt) so as to avoid striping out the cranks threads. I will then install & torque a new dampner bolt. How many foot pounds of torque? Thanks in advance. Ed

Once it is on as far as it will go with the threaded rod and nut, install the old bolt and tq to 250 ft/lbs. Remove old bolt, install new bolt, tq to 37 ft/lbs and then turn the bolt an additional 140 degrees for the stock pulley, 120 degrees for an ASP pulley.
