Default Anyone use these Magnaflow mufflers for duals?

http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...0002_411598_-1

I am looking for the smallest mufflers that are a good bit quieter than Dynomax bullets.

i have used them. they were great for me in the begining but after about 800 miles i noticed the car was louder and every couple of months it gets louder. I read somewhere else that with the blow thru style mufflers after some use the material that is in the muffler falls apart and the car sounds louder little by little.

How do you have the exhaust running on the Tech Camaro? I like the way it sounds right there, but i know thats nothing like in-person. Have you thought about Flowmaster 1 chamber mufflers, or maybe even the Borla XR1s?

I heard your car and it sounds a lot like my 370. I have 3 inch mandrel tuning coming from the headers to the X pipe to dynomax bullet mufflers 3 inch over the axle to magnaflow oval mufflers and it ends there at the rear bumper.

Hooker 1.75 long tubes, 3" duals with bullets, setup only goes to like the back of the doors not all the way to the rear end. I am going to try a set of Magnaflow 4x9's, but I think I will clamp them on so I can test them vs. running open headers.

I was also looking at the magnaflow 4x9's. Currently have MOROSO spiral flows. Way too loud for subdivision. Hoping magnaflows will quiet it down.

The 4x9s will really quiet them down, yet still down real good while driving.

posted these vids many times. theymake a good comparison from an unmuffled Xpipe to the same xpipe with magnaflow 4x9s.

the sound level is a bit deceiveing...but it shows how much a difference the mufflers make.
the car was loud enough to make your ears bleed with straight pipes...and with the mufflers you can still hear the cam lope but its much more toned down. no rasp in the high end...just nice clean SCREAM.

camera and car were not moved...just slipped the mufflers on between vids:

1CleanBird: I'm looking to go with that setup, and had a few questions:
1)How is the ground clearance?
2)How loud is it inside the car/is there a lot of drone?

This thread is about duals.

I moved Pinky last nite, it was so loud it made my wife jump every time I started it. I'll take vid of before and after.

I went ahead and ordered the Magnaflow 11259's. Will have a set of 3" Moroso Spiral Flows for sale w/ turn downs in a few days. Spiral Flows sounded good but way to loud for neighbors.

I'll let you know next year. I have a set in the box waiting to go in. I'm also trying to quiet the car down from the bullets. I'm looking into going over the axle & out the back, which should help out alot..

I'd recommend Borla #40085 over those Magnaflows. Will be quite a bit quieter at idle and have a very very deep/smooth tone. The Magnaflows are a lot better than the Dynomax, but the Borlas are by far the best.
