Default Double Roller + Underdrive Pulley = Help

Hey,

I have had the pulley/double roller timing chain set up for about 3k miles and now the belt is starting to walk off of the "track" (right word?). I searched for this problem and everyone was saying the the older pullies werent made to fit with a doube roller, but they modified them to work, and the ones that could work had a stamp on them? I looked and couldn't find the stamp on my pulley, but it is fairly new (I got it in June). So do you think I have to get the Pulley machined down to fit with the chain OR can I do a Katech Belt Tensioner pulley to solve the problem.... THANKS

-Rob

Hi 00Formula00,

The only problems I know of are with the UD pulleys for the corvette with double chains. If the belt/pulley alignment was good before, it still should be good unless the pulley moved.

So are you saying you think that the bolt has backed out?

i remember seeing alot of places mention that some ud pulleys dont work with double rollers and certain oil pumps without machining them a little to fit...what type of pulley do you have?
