Default Rare 98 WS6 with SLP LM1...wanting more sound

I have a 1998 Trans Am WS6 in Bright Purple Metallic, 1 of 6, and 1 of the 2 six speeds. I got it a few months ago and have put SLP Loudmouth 1 on it, and am looking for more volume and sound. Im not sure if I should go with an ORY, or get a catted y pipe, or what exactly to do. Ive listened to clips on ls1sounds.com and have kind of an idea of what to do. Does anyone know anything about the TSP Y-pipe with Magnaflow High-Flow cats? Any suggestions of what to do would help, or maybe even what those of you with LM1 have done...

Well longtube headers + ORY + loudmouth is definitly about the loudest exhaust combination there is, even more so when you add a cam into the equation. But yeah an ORY definitly changes the way these cars sound, a lot more rasp and angrier in my own opinion.

Long tubes with an off road y-pipe will be pretty damned loud with the loudmouth1!

how about since you got such a rare car you get some longtubes of your choice then get some custom true duals made. thats the best exhaust you can have. not too many people have it(In your area not on ls1 tech so dont chime in collective conscience)and it sounds amazing. plus it flows better than any catback there is along with it looking the best.

Exhaust sound is all opinion, but the LM, ORY, LT road is a shitty one IMO. I had it for about 3 weeks. If anything get a nice catted y-pipe with a nice merge and that will eliminate most of the rasp.

Now I will say that a LM is a good exhaust if the extint of your mods are going to be a lid and a catback because it makes the noise you desire where as your other catbacks are quiter and require LT's and a ORY to make them sound off. (Corsa, Hooker, Magnaflow etc)

List of exhaust i've had
Manifolds, Cats, Corsa (to quiet)
Manifolds, Cats, LM (loved it until I got LT's)
LT's, ORY, LM (see above)
LT's, ORY, Hooker (sounded great and I had a cutout installed for when I wanted to be really loud)
LT's, 3in X, Dynomax bullets currently on my vert. This has to be the best sounding exhaust i've heard on a F-body, but it is coming off Friday. Why you ask, because I drive the car everyday and the drone is about to run me out. It probably wouldn't be as bad on a coupe car, but on the vert the drone is horrible. As of friday i'll have LT's, ORY, and a Magnaflow installed with a cutout for the best of both worlds.

ah, thats my fault, ill clarify...i want loud, but not a whole lot of rasp, but i dont mind moderate cackling...so would an ORY be ideal? do i HAVE to have LT's, or can I bolt an ORY or catted Y up to my stock manifolds? any suggestions on Y pipes?

Open headers can really wake you up, but i would say to have not to much raspiness. I would opt for LTs, ORY, and in the place of the slp resonator a sweet thunder chambered muffler. Oh and congrats on having such a rare car!

I would go Lt's ORY and LM1 heard it before and it sounds awesome. It is raspy but I like the rasp. Im running kooks LT's ORX and no mufflers and still want it to be louder. Don't put cats on it.

sorry i did not see that reply.

long tubes will make it louder, cats will help the tone and rasp. mabye look ing to swaping the lm1 to the lm II for a deeper cleaner tone. i love mine

so what if I want to run stock manifolds, no cats, and a H pipe under the axel, can i do that, without gettin LTs? and where can i find parts for a true dual set up? seems like its hard to find an H pipe...
