If you want to be loud, just toss on some 12" extensions off the collectors dumped. Either one is going to be loud, it doesn't matter which you get. You can always run straight pipes back with and X-pipe, then if things ever get to loud for you, a muffler shop can then just add in some mufflers after the X-pipe.

Try to find a clip of a C5 with a Loudmouth exhaust. That'll give you the best idea of what it'll sound like.

Not my favorite by any means.

I was running 3 inch straight pipe off the Ory for a while. It sounded sick especially with the cam, but it didn't have the low end torque it had with the full catback on so I reinstalled it.

I am about to do this same thing this weekend. I am going to take off my catback and y pipe and cut the y pipe at the bend to create the extensions. I hope it takes off maybe 50lbs. What is the difference in sound of having it dumped vs. straight, more rasp, deeper tone, etc?

if your talking about running straight pipe off of long tubes dont worry about an H or X especially w/ no mufflers going to be run.

sounds like your going for loud factor

just run 3'' pipe 12'' extensions
you'll be very loud

I would go with an hpipe and less you just want it loud and dont care about the sound at all. I think and h or x would sound better than just straight pipes.

At least one person with good sense. It'll sound like ***, thats how it will sound. And as already mentioned, the engine runs better and makes more tourque with an actual exhaust insalled.

Loud does not = fast, just anoying.

You will get your brains rattled out with 12" extensions off the collectors.

I bought my car with 3" straight pipes with Dynomax Bullit mufflers with LT's. It sounded mean but had horrible grond clearance and was a little too loud.

Wouldn't it sound like ORY + LT + Catback + open cutout?

My friend has a 94 Formy (different engine I know) with LT's ORY and straight pipes with a CC306 cam and it sounds f*ckin mean!
