Default no more true duals for me........

well the true dual setup got old fast...it was a 3" x with dumped 1 chambers....damn thing was too loud to drive and would drag over everything...so the off road y pipe/and cutout went back on..the catback consist of a 2 chamber single inlet/outlet flowmaster...i had a 80 series before and didnt likle it....i like the new sound and can once again drive the car.....the true duals slowed it down at the track over the open cutout anyway....

here is a video of the new setup...car doesnt idle all the way down till the end of the vid....it was cold out...

Is your car lowered? You've got me worried about going with TD's now.

no i have a ds safety loop and the x portion layed right under it causing low clearance.....IMO true duals aint worth it...my car ran better at the track with a cutout setup....

You must have had a poorly fabricated true-dual setup if it scraped that bad. I've been running true-duals with single chambers for over a yr with no issues. I also swapped it from an ory/cutout setup, and it didn't lose ANY power what-so-ever. In fact, I trapped the highest with the true-dual setup.

Anyhow, to each his own.

Mines lowered and they dont scrape that often. And when they do....who cares as long as they dont rip off? Mine gained power with them as well

When something is in the way, that's when you have to change the design of it so everything fits. Mine is all 3 inch as well.

BTW, your car sounds good in the clip when you rev it.

Yeah, the noise level can definitely be a problem. I have an ORY and Borla with a cutout. Even with the cutout closed I get looks. I like the level of sound with the cats on the car and the cutout closed, but then even when I open the cutout the cats are gonna be a restriction so I leave them off.

I went from dual cut out's off the headers to 3" TD's out the rear and din't lose any power at all (had both setups dynoed). I really don't scrape on anythig with my setup and i'm lowered. However I consider my cakseat in-op now. I could imagine it would hit a lot of stuff if i had 4 people in the car

True duals dumped on any car is not a good idea if the car is driven regularly. Too much noise rebounds back up under the car and can be annoying. True duals run out the back should be fine but we know there isn't much room to do that on these cars. Race cars are a different story and dumps are fine if you can tolerate it.

Do you have any pics of it? I'm trying to figure out how to get mine out the back.

my car is lowered with the hotchkis kit and koni sa's. the true duals do scrape or drag when you hit a pot hole or go into an uneven parking lot. I live in tennessee and elevation changes and hilly conditioned roads are pretty common and i dont have problems at all. i avoid speedbumps at all costs. My only complaint from my TSP duals would have to be that the damn things resonate ... alot, and it seems to have 'loosened" up my interior. the car creaks and rattles like crazy, almost to the point to where i want to get rid of them at times. But when i go WOT or pass through a tunnel or underpass... i get the warm tingly feeling inside
