bought the headers from mph motorsports and a universal d-port kit and single chamberflow from a non sponser but im sure you'll figure out who i bought it from clearance is great and the sound is awsome.

Those headers look sweet. Clearance looks good too. If those are 1 chambered flows, post a sound clip bc that's the setup I'm doing soon.

the set up i bought is the same thing as jmm98ls1 i just dont have a cam. and a far as rattling there is none at all. the sound clip is going to take afew days i want to make a good one

hell yea it does. i have a single one from my y pipe and it rattles everything. i imagine if it has 2, then its even worse. btw, i love how my single chamber sounds. it looks like its tucked up pretty good up there. i wanted to do tds, but my car is too low. is ur car lowered?

i payed 300 for all the piping and 100 to weld it. the guy who welded it for me said that flowmaster has a none stamped brand called thunderbolt, it the same flowmater stuff with no name stamped on it and costs 40 dollars less. wish i knew that before

That's the setup I want to go with, except I will run cats and have it run out the back. I think I'd also try and put the mufflers by the tips instead of underneath the car.

I'd like to see what it looks like from underneath a lift.

don't know i dident take it to get tuned yet, but just driving it around town you can def tell that car is faster. i need to remember to give it less gas coming off a red light becouse the car just pulls

yes, i am trying to get the car on a lift, i will do that and the sound clip next week afer exams are over. and i have a pic of a camaro w/ single chamber run out the back w/ tips ill look for it and post it later

See, I will EVENTUALLY get TD's....EVENTUALLY...but what I'm torn over is whether to get the D-port or to get them completely custom made. I'd rather get the D-port because it's all mandrel bent and would probably save me quite a bit of money, but I'm not sure if that would lead to more clearance issues, more banging, making it harder to run out the back...etc...plus, I'd rather have the mufflers at the end with the tips attached to the mufflers kind of like a Mustang or a Corvette. It may help from getting away from that "F-body sound" more. I'm not sure if the D-port will be able to accommodate all these conditions.

I really like the D-port design. It's like a combination H-pipe/X-pipe, so I would imagine you'd get better top end than an H-pipe with better sound than an X-pipe. That's the way I wanna go!

Seeing your car on a lift would really help me make my decision. Whatever I decide, it won't be happening for a few years, though

I'm going to go with the D-port.

I just can't decide on 2.5" or 3".

I don't want to choke my H/C setup with a 2.5" and I don't want to have shitty ground clearance with the 3".

I'll figure something out.

A 2.5" TD setup will flow a lot more air than a 3" Y-pipe setups, and most guys on this site with H/C run a 3" Y-pipe setup. Keep that in mind.

The 2.5" setup will cause less clearance issues, not to mention it's lighter and you can run it out the back in all 2.5" pipe instead of having to neck it down or buy a panhard rod relocation kit. Plus, a 2.5" setup will have better low end throttle response.

I'd go 2.5". I don't see it ever being not enough for a 346. If you decide to go big cubes or TT and throw down 700 rwhp, maybe then it's an issue, but if a 3" Y-pipe setup can support 500 rwhp just fine, a 2.5" TD setup surely can...and I doubt you're gonna make 500 rwhp with your H/C.
