I dont know this for a fact but I think the GMPP will out flo the Edelbrock slightly. Its also shorter and doesnt require chopping up the cowl for clearance.

Someone correct me if im wrong.

I believe that is correct. The advantage of running the Vic Jr is, you dont have to have the intake machined for the injectors (GMPP does not have the holes drilled) And with the price of intake rails and brakets just over $400, its hard to justify spending more money and going though more work. IMO the GMPP intake doesnt offer that much power over the Vic Jr.

I have the Edelbrock Victor Jr. along with Aarons elbow and didn't have to cut anything. Very slight rubbing on the hood. A 2lb sledge or cutoff wheel will take care of that. From the reseach I did awhile back their rails are good to 1400hp. Do you really need anything more?

You could also just sell the Speed Inc rails... Personally I'm waiting for the Super Vic to come out. If you're having clearance issues you can also mill the throttle body mounting flange for the intake.
