Would it help what???? Save power??? When turned off the A/C is bassically a idler pulley and draws no measurable power.

i think your friend is thinking about a underdrive pulley kit, less rotating mass=less stress on the motor=more hp to the rear wheels

wouldn't help you stay cool in the summer.... taking off your socks when you get in would probably help about the same amount as far as performance goes.

yea, when you have the a/c off it just roates like an idler pulley so theres not restriction so it wont help
