Default Heater hose question

I'm wondering how much heat can heater hose take. I want to wrap sections of my fuel lines in it. I'm thinking 1 inch sections every 4 inches for about 2 feet so that I can raise my driver side muffler about another inch.

I tried moving them, couldn't get them back in the brackets. But, now that I think about it, it would be the brackets that the mufflers are butted up against, not the fuel lines. Do the mufflers get hot enough to melt the brackets?
