Header install from the top
I just finished installing my pacesetter headers. The drivers side went according to plan, but on the girlfriend side I had to drop it in from the top. We took off the valve cover and it dropped right down.
Anyone else ever try this??

can it be done relatively easily in your garage? debating if this is a project i want to tackle flat on my back, heard the best way to put them in from the bottom without removing suspension is to put the car like 4 feet in the air. how long did this take you?

Just did mine last week, and I got to say its easier than I thought. I got hookers and Im glad I didnt pay to get them instaled. I just had to grind a little on the driver side like every said and the passanger just slid in with no problem. We did it with just 2 jack stands in the front. Took us about 4-5 hours. The hardest part I encountered was taking off my y pipe, cause we only had a grinder

my friend installed some PS on a V6 swap to V8 car(LS1) was a camaro, they claimed they had to dent the headers because the steering knuckle wouldnt go back on or something. Now they might just be dumb ***'s but i was just a little concerned because i plan on getting some PS's and everyone seems to love them. thanks.

I tried installing my pacesetters from the top with the heads off. The passenger side dropped right in but the drivers side would not go in from the top. I wrestled with it for about an hour and even shaved the emboss on the side of the block. I never took the steering linkage loose but it didn't look like that would help.

Yea removing the knuckle was the last thing I would have done, but my hookers fit fine. Sure u have to fight with them but just take ur time. Lift the car higher if needed, I broke a spark plug so it just gave me an exuse to do my plugs and wires
