you can do motor mounts, muffler hanger welded in, bang the floorboard- not to wise. Add padding where it bangs.

Or just mess with it till it doesn't bang anymore.

WEll if you want to do it right than you should do the poly motor mounts. It fixed my problem and it will make the car a fill a little more responsive when you're on the gas

The the mount bene posted is a good solution...or you can just jam something in between the pipe and floor...like a valve spring..haha

yeah, but does this mufflex hanger have the strength to hold the pipe down and not hit the floor ALL the time, and what does the install include?

install is stupid easy. its jsut a normal ol exhaust clamp, but you bolt a bracket to the heat sheild and it uses 2 rubber muffler hangers to force the y pipe down so it doesnt bang any.

oh and i was going to just go with the mufflex bump stop hanger to cure this prob. and actually ordered one from thunder racing about 3 1/2 weeks ago but they were on backorder got an e-mail stating they shouldnt be more than a week out and i still have not heard back!!! would have been alot easier to install than the motor mounts but seems like a band aid fix to me...

To get rid of the banging associated with long tube headers, I bought QUALITY headers. No banging, and no need for a bumper...that goes for the stock motor mounts and my new(er) poly ones as well.

You wouldn't know quality if it jumped up and hit you in the face...
