Default LS6, FAST, Holley intake?

I'm starting to build my LS1. Plan is to keep the stock bottom end and go with a med cam, something in the 225 duration/550 lift, and some head port work, stall convertor in the mid to low 3k range. I'm looking for roughly 400 hp at the tires, and thats it.

I'm looking at all these intakes and wondering, is the FAST really need if thats all I'm going for. Has anyone heard anything about the Holley, its purty for sure, but is it as functional? Is the SLP better than the LS6? 54001 over the 54003 FAST?

This is going in my 66 Nova, daily driver that I'm trying to maximize economy with whoop ***.

You can make it with ease with the LS6 intake and save money towards something else.

agreed....ls6 is all you really need.

the SLP ls6 intake is the same design as the factory...but with the EGR provision and a bigger price tag.

you should be able to hit 400rwhp with a mid 22x cam and some good heads like the AFR 205s. but to take advantage of the flow potential of the lsx heads...aftermarket in particular...get something with more lift.

good luck and keep us posted

look at my #s, i made 342 with an ls1 intake and headers a tune and a k&n filter no lid. this new intake supoosedly makes 30 more hp than the ls6 which makes around 10-15 more than the ls1. with an underdrive pulley and this intake that should put u right at 380 390 so u really wouldnt even need a cam or heads, saves u some money
